Um July is is one of those months, and one of those months where it's just like oh man, you just you you just can't, you know. You think it's gonna be good, but it's it's just not. Um but but I got some good news, y'all. Um I was saying that this was the first year uh that I've not gone into a complete spiral again. If you guys know me best, oh man, you know the history of July with me, and you know that usually, you know, July 3rd and 4th, I don't do anything at all. Uh stay home, uh keep out of sight, uh just because just a lot of bad memories uh from my older brother, you know. But this year, the past years, um, last year, this year, I I've been kind of stepping out of that and being able to live, uh, doing little things, not going out and partying or doing something crazy or anything like that. July 3rd and 4th, I was over at Fire Rock Casino. It was cool, it was it was cool, it was chill. It was the northern edge, the northern edge of Gallup. Of course, it's fire rock, you know. So it was chill, man. It was it was really chill, and I enjoyed myself there. So shout out shout out to Fire Rock Casino. I'm in talks with them again to possibly be out there at a later date in August. Keep you guys posted. But if you guys know me best, I've talked about this on the last part on the old podcast and then mentioned it here on on the new podcast. But uh today, today was just one of those days where it it wasn't completely bad, but after a whole entire day, like I got I got so much things done today, like it was it was good. Um, if you guys didn't know, my refrigerator gave out. So I've been out with the refrigerator for almost two weeks, and I I honestly don't keep anything in anyways, so it wasn't like it was it wasn't a need to run out and purchase a new refrigerator. No, it wasn't. Uh, but today I had today off, and um, like I said, it was just kind of weird. Uh, and it was weirdly cool because what had transpired today um led me to go into my email and look at some emails. Some emails were addressed directly to me uh for me to answer, and I was like, okay, cool. You know, uh some of the other emails were uh direct directly for me and shells, and then also for Kessa too as well. Uh but yeah, today today was weird, man. Um no, you know, like I said, not weirdly bad or anything, it was just an off day. Um yeah, I mean July. July is always going to suck for me, but I am you know getting to a place of where I'm I'm going to be okay with July. Uh today just kind of, yeah, just it just full circle again. But nothing bad, nothing bad. And um I went out, went to Farmington. Uh sadly, uh old co-worker had passed away, and you know, I went to go pay respects and attended a funeral today. Uh, so that's where I was at. But then again, I got the opportunity to get a couple errands done. Uh, I went over to uh Lowell's and Home Depot looking around for a refrigerator, and I found one, and I am happy to announce that it will be here on Friday. It's gonna be here on Friday, so I'm super excited for the refrigerator that I had. Holy shit, and it lasted uh a little over 18 years. Holy shit, 18 years of a refrigerator being in the house, and it only holds a little bit of food. Hey, yeah, uh, no, but uh my refrigerator finally went out about two weeks ago, so I was without a refrigerator for two weeks. Um I don't keep anything in in the house, anyways, like as far as food, because it's just me here, you know. Uh, so I usually have lunch at work and that lasts me until the next day. So I I don't um, you know, usually eat in the evenings. Uh, and then also, you know, my mom, she usually invites me over sometimes too as well when they're having food there. So uh it's it's a win-win situation, but I try not to eat too much in the evenings because like I said, you know, I feel like I'm gaining weight. Holy shit, I am gaining weight in a good way, though. In a good way, I am finally at a healthy rate of where I'm supposed to be at, I guess you could say. But I I'm still watching, you know, what I eat and um try not to be too hungry. I guess you could say I'm not hungry at all. But that that explains uh tonight, too, as well. But I got I bought a refrigerator, so it's gonna be here on Friday, and then also uh my washer is getting ready to go out, it's not washing my clothes properly. So I was looking at wash machines and dryers, like holy shit, like I need a new combo. Uh, so I was looking at that today. Uh went put like I said, I was at home uh Lowell's and Home Depot uh just looking at wash machine and dryers, and I think I might have found uh a wash machine and dryer set. So I am excited that's probably gonna be ordered within I would say maybe a month or so. I am going to wear out my wash machine until it absolutely does not work anymore before I purchase this new one. So I'm looking forward to that too as well. Um, but other than that, yeah, I like I said, you know, guess where I am? I am in my safe spot right now. I am in if you guys know me the if you guys know me best and you guys you guys know know me, I talked about this all the time, but I am in Red Valley, Arizona. It is 1022, and I am just sitting here in this parking lot um by the chapter house in Red Valley and just enjoying the the peace and the quietness and the safety of being out here. Um I know some of you guys are probably like, dang, Red Valley, Arizona, yeah, you know, Yannies and all this stuff, but no, man, this it's so peaceful. It was windy earlier uh when I got here. The wind kind of calmed down a little bit, and I see a little bit of thunder. I saw a little bit of lightning, and it was so peaceful. And I brought I brought my dinner with me. If you guys could guess what my dinner is tonight, I brought cereal, I brought fruit loops, I brought a little box of fruit loops, I brought some milk, and I had that tonight for dinner. I took myself on a little date, a solo date, and I am just out here. Yep. Uh, I've I've learned to keep the podcast mics in my car. So in case, you know, one of these random podcasts comes on or whatever, you know. Um, but yeah, I am I am out here. It is so peaceful. It is just, man, it it is. This is this is my safe spot. And it's another thing that I did too as well, that that a lot of people probably don't don't know. I don't talk about it too much or I don't say too much about it. Uh rarely, rarely happens, but I like to smoke cigars every once in a while. And the cigars that I like to smoke, or this yeah, they're called cigarellies, are al Capone cigarellis. They are super hard to find. But I got lucky today. I stopped at one of the smoke shops. I was like, let me see what kind of cigars do these guys got. And I stopped there and they had them. I was so excited. I bought some. They, if you guys don't know, El Capone cigarellies are freaking dope. They're dipped in cognac, they're sweet. Uh, as soon as you light them, you can just taste that sweetness. So I was I was um so earlier uh when I got here, um I was just chilling. There was people, there was kids out playing basketball, enjoying the the the the cool weather, I guess you could say, enjoying the the little breeze. So I just parked here and I popped the back of my my my car. Parked uh popped the back of my car and opened it and and just sat there. I had my dinner and my cereal. I had my cereal, and then after I waited a couple of minutes afterwards, and it's been a long time since I had milk, and you guys know that I love milk, like coal milk, holy cow, I love milk. Um, but after after I had my little my little dinner there, I just sat there, I was watching those guys play, and they're all like, Do you want to play? Do you want to play? I'm like, nah, man, freaking old man, my old ass is gonna you know bust a knee or something, you know, and I don't have time to to miss work, eh? So I was just like, nah, I was just kind of sitting there watching them, just thinking about life, you know, thinking about life of all of life's obstacles up to this point. Uh, the good times, the bad times, and people that I cherish in my life. And man, I am so thankful for like just everybody that's in my life, people that I've known for years and years and years, and you know, like new people that I've that I've met now. But like I said, I I don't I don't meet people new uh like I used to back in the day. My circle has gone super small. I said it all the time. I sound like a fucking broken record, but my circle is super, super small. And as I was sitting, I was I was sitting there, you know, just just thinking about all this stuff, and I had the I had the radio on, you know, just listening to music and everything. And I forgot how much I like jazz music, like just the instrumentals and just being able just to listen to it and just be in that vibe of like like holy cow, you know, like just just being in that just being in that moment, I guess you could say, of of um, you know, the the music, I guess you could say, and it was freaking amazing. Like, holy cow, I forgot one of my all-time, all-time favorite songs, my all-time favorite jazz songs is by Miles Davis. And it's it's my funny Valentine. Uh, that's the name of the song. And I was listening to it, and I was like, holy cow, I forgot about this song. You know, I have it on vinyl, and I've not played vinyl in a very long time. And the other day when I got home, I was, you know, I was vacuuming and just kind of cleaning the house up a little bit. And I saw my stack of vinyls there, and I started going through it, and I was like, holy shit, I got some gems here. I need to get a I need to get a power cord for my vinyl player, for my record player. And you know, so so I can listen, I I can listen to vinyl again. Usually, you know, like like my my nights of of just chilling is is just listening to vinyl. And I've lost the power cable to my vinyl player, so I'm just like, damn it, I can't, so I have to I have to buy a new vinyl, either a new vinyl player or just a new power cable. Uh, but man, it was it was awesome just listening to that uh tonight and just being out here. And then as I was as I was listening to it, like I I had it on repeat, and I I lit up the cigar, a little the little the little cigarelli, and I was just sitting there just enjoying life, smoking it, and just you know, like like remembering all the fun times I'd had in in Red Valley, and mind you, this is my safe spot. I don't I don't take a lot of people here, I'll talk out just anything, you know, just like hey, it was good Red Valley or whatever, you know, like you you got to be that person for me to take you over there and and just remembering like my little brother, and then also remembering stories of of my brother too, you know. Uh just it was it was good and it wasn't sad, it wasn't sad stories, it wasn't sad like remembering it being sad. Uh, because like I said, mind you, July 4th has been 12 years since my brother, my older brother, um oh passed away. And man, like I said, it still hurts. It still hurts. And it's been officially five years since my little brother passed away. And then uh again tomorrow is going to be um nine months, nine months, eight months, eight months, eight months since my dad had passed has passed away. And man, you know, it's just like man, just just just remembering, just remembering. It was good memories, good memories. Uh, but as I was sitting there, you know, just enjoying this moment, just enjoying this moment. I forgot that I enjoy moments like this. I forgot that I enjoy the littlest moments of just being in that moment. That sounded stupid, but funny. That moment of being in that moment is enjoying the moment. Hey, but it was so cool and so peaceful, and just you know, like like as the as the wind was picking up, and then they left, and I'm just here still, you know. It's it's freaking almost 10:30. I'm in the middle of Red Valley, Arizona, in the dark. Y'all probably think I'm some kind of weirdo, like, what the hell is he doing out there all by himself, sitting in the dark on the reds? Like, he's fucking probably a Yeti or something. No, man, it is so peaceful, it's so crazy. Like, some people would think this is a scary, this is scary, but man, for me, it is so peaceful just just being here. And uh as I was there, like I said, I was smoking, you know, my cigar and everything, and I started going, I logged into my email, started going through some of the emails and stuff, and like I've been saying, a lot of the emails that that we've been getting uh pertain to me and shells and then pertain to Kessa, like when they want to ask Kessa questions and just asking me and Shell's questions questions. And me and Shells, we haven't done a podcast uh going on almost a month again, you know. Like I said, schedules are just crazy, crazy, crazy busy. So, you know, tonight I was like I said, I I have the mics in my car. I I have them in there, and I think I'm like I said, I think I'm just gonna leave them in there now for moments like this, moments of just being able to speak, uh, not vent, not to have this platform to say, oh, this is how I'm feeling, or whatever, but just being able just to just to give uh some type of encouragement, uh, just to just to be able to say like you know, like, like vent a little bit, but not a whole lot to where people are like, oh, you're just using that podcast to vent, oh you're just using that podcast to to to tell us about your problems. It it's not, you know, there's days that are shitty. There's our days that that that fucking sucks, you know? Uh today wasn't fully one of those days, but it was a good day still, you know. Uh I was happy to get a fridge. I was happy to look at um look at uh what do you call it? Wash machines and dryers, and then also I got a chance to go to the mall again for the first time forever. I visit with Brooklyn there. As you guys know, she works there at the at Lids, and I got a chance to go visit with her. And when I got there after the funeral, and I got there, it just so happened to be her lunch break. So I went over, you know, we went and we went down to the food court and we just chilled. And if you guys know again, like my all-time favorite snack, sweet snack too, is the cinnamon bites over at the the little pretzel shop. So got that, and we sat down and we're just you know, we're just talking. Uh the other day I got Brooklyn dog. So she was like super excited about the dog. It's and she's she's told me that she wanted a dog for two weeks. So I was on the hunt. I was on the hunt. I was asking people, hey, uh, can you keep a lookout for um you know for a dog? I asked my people, is my circle, like, hey, can you keep a lookout on your social media if somebody has a dog or whatever? And one of my one of my good friends, man, uh, they came through. They're like, oh, there's a dog available if you want it. It's small, it's gonna stay small because Brooklyn wants to take a dog to school when when she goes back. So I was like, okay, cool, she can train it. So picked up the dog yesterday, dropped it off with her. She was super excited, and the dog is like freaking cool. So we're talking about the dog, and then uh Brooklyn, she she Brooklyn knows like I've like I've been saying, she she has that sense of where it's like, Dad, are you okay? Dad, you know, like you look you don't seem like yourself, and she just kind of seemed uh, you know, she kind of see she kind of saw that and she asked me. She was like, Daddy, everything good? Yeah, you're good, Dad? And I was like, Yeah, I said I'm good. And then I was like super excited, and I told her, I was like, I I I found a refrigerator. I said, found a refrigerator. I said I bought it, it's gonna be there Friday. She was like, Oh, oh, cool, cool. And and uh so she was super excited about that, and she was like, Oh, so when I visited, she was like, There'll be some food there. And I was like, Yes, there'll be some food there, making me sound like I don't, I don't, you know, I don't have food ever. But but we're sitting there, we're talking, and we're just eating, you know, like I was just um, you know, she she doesn't like she doesn't like the the the cinnamon bites. She'll eat a couple of them, but but she said that cinnamon's not really her flavor. So I was sitting there and I was eating eating those cinnamon bites, and um, like I said, my kid, if you want to know everything about me or whatever, my that my kid knows everything about me. There's no secrets between me and her. Uh so we're sitting there and and I was eating the cinnamon bites, and she looked at me and she was just like, Dad, are you good? I was like, Yes. I was like, I'm good, baby. I said, I'm happy. And she was like, You she was like, Dad, she was like, What what is your happiness? She was like, Are you really happy? And when she said that, I answered, No. And she looked at me, she was like, You're not happy. And I'm like, No, I'm not happy. And she was like, Why? And I told her, I said, I said, I live in happy moments. Uh, I said, I define happiness in moments. I said, like right now, this moment, I said, I'm happy. Um, I said, I'm not, I'm not gonna know how I feel in a couple of hours. I said, I'm not, I'm not judging the whole day as just because in just because I bought a refrigerator or whatever, I had a good day that I'm happy for the day. I said, my happiness comes in moments. And I said, but I said overall, I said I'm not happy. And she got all sad and she was like, Dad, I'm sorry. I was like, No, I said no. I said, that's I said that's just the way that I view happiness now. I said, in a couple hours, I said I might not be happy because um, you know, I'm sad or whatever, you know. And then she was like, Oh, okay. She was like, I get it, I get it. And you know, she was she was just like um. She would just she she thanked me again uh for the last I would say month month and a half my my my my my bubs uh has been on this thing to where I've I've never really I mean she's thanked me you know she she's thanked me for for things that I've done for her for just just being there for her but for the month the the last month and a half she's been um just really really thanking me and you know like I was just kind of I got scared today like when she was thanking me you know and she was like Dad she was like thank you so much she was like holy cow uh she was like I told you that I wanted a dog just two weeks ago and she was like and then yesterday you brought a dog and she was like I can't even think like you she was like I can't even put into words like how you even how you even started looking for dogs she was like knowing that you don't have social media you don't have any of that stuff and she was just like how how did you even find this dog you know and I told her I said I can I said I have people that that they have social media and I said plus I say your aunties uh they have social media and I said I just I just sent uh a a text message out to them and said hey you know be on the lookout for a small dog uh something that's not gonna get too too big you know that that it's at least it's gonna be like two three feet or whatever you know uh something small that could fit in the dorm and I said my people's you know they they they were on the lookout and I said one came through and I picked up that dog and she was just like man dad she was like that's she was like that's crazy and she was and then she was like um and for you to say you're not happy and I told her I said I'm happy I said I'm happy in this moment right now so I'm happy in this moment that you're happy and I said that's all that matters and I said a couple I said again I said a couple hours from now I said who cares who cares and when I got to Red Valley I was happy like I'm I'm I'm in a happy moment now like I said you know I I got my dinner my cereal uh have my little cigar smoke my little cigar and I'm just here now just just um you know just just enjoying this view the clouds are dark and it's just it's dark here and you know like I said again people are gonna be like freaking out like man you're crazy you're just all Yanny mode out there or whatever you know but as I was sitting here uh listening to some music listening to some jazz and everything I I just started going through the emails and I I got I started separating some of the emails you know and some of the emails were like personal like personal questions like oh Mike this question's just for you Mike this question is just for you and I was like oh okay you know some of them were were talking about the little the little TED talk I guess you could say that I did do and just my views just my views on on certain things and and some people were just laughing about how I um you know like like how I was talking about the you know the the Pride Month and everything and some people were just like man so like you're you're you're kind of bold to say stuff like that and you know all I can all I can do is just be honest when when it's said and that that came to uh another thing that that that happened was just um was um just that honest just just just my honest opinion I guess you could say if it said if it said out of your mouth and you said it and I repeat it that's just me saying hey this is what you said you know like like like I've said you know before when the guy you know was saying this and that I'm just like okay but you said this this came out of your mouth but then again it it felt like you know like like if I was saying something bad but it wasn't and that's not my intentions my my intentions are are not that um if you say something and I repeat it doesn't mean that I'm I'm trying to offend you or anything like that. It's just like okay cool that's what you said this is what you said so I repeated it and that there it is you know nothing bad nothing bad um but you know some people were were just like man you're you're pretty bold about the stuff that you say like you don't have a filter I guess you could say and I'm just like you know I hope people know that these are are my opinions these are my opinions strictly my opinions and these stories that I've been through I went through it I have a past I have I've done some stuff in my past that I'm not that I'm not proud of that I'm ashamed sometimes that I'm just like you know I've said before damn there's times that I look at my life I'm like shit I should have I should be fucking dead right now but I am blessed to still be on this earth and you know the the the stories that I tell are stor are stories about me or you know things that I went through um not trying to fabricate it and everything but but yeah it was I was just like you know and I'm super thankful when people reach out like that that always uh ask me personal stuff you know like like not ask me personal stuff but just ask like an opinion and and ask a question but like oh this is just for Mike uh for the podcast uh let's I want to hear your answer you know and one of them that that came in I'm I'm gonna read it right now I I thought it was um I thought it was uh what do you call it I thought it was pretty interesting so I'm I'm trying to um I'm trying to get it right now uh that I thought that I I thought that was pretty cool it was Mike I know you're a DJ and this is the question is for you um but if you had a Spotify playlist that you could name what would be the name of your playlist and what would be the first track on there oh man Spotify I only use Spotify when when I DJ like receptions because I have a playlist on there that I usually play other than that I'm I'm on iTunes I like iTunes but uh spotify spotify playlist the name of it I think would just be um vibes I I think that would probably be my Spotify playlist name is just vibes uh the first track on there the first track on there that I'm putting on there is gonna be my dilated peoples and dilated peoples and then right after that mace you know mace that that would be my first two songs on there would would be that and uh then I got another one that says Mike what's a weird food combination or guilty pleasure you secretly enjoy that sounds a little too crazy okay a weird food combination um let me see I've hadn't had it in a long time uh but barbecue chips barbecue lays with cottage cheese don't knock it until you try it some of you guys might are like probably thinking like what the fuck you know about barbecue chips with some cottage cheese and like just just dip your barbecue chips in cottage cheese it it's pretty good it it might be an odd an odd taste but that's my weird combination and then a guilty pleasure that I secretly enjoy a guilty pleasure that I secretly enjoy uh I would probably say uh like I said I don't do it all the time it's just a cigar man you gotta be in that moment I have to be in that moment of where it's just like light it up and just enjoy it you know not try to smoke it all at once you know is just enjoy that cigar and enjoy that cigar that taste it might be bitter for some people but I don't know for some reason that's that cigar that guilty pleasure of that cigar just relaxes me so that's my guilty pleasure and that's my weird combination there and then um uh they were asking they were asking um Mike uh what specific goal career creation or personal uh goals are you working toward honestly I am trying to build up my retirement I want to try to retire within the next 10 years like I that's my ultimate dream goal is to try to retire and and 10 years I mean the the legal I well I don't want to say legal but my age oh shit I'm gonna be in my oh my goodness oh man I'm fucking old man but um that's my ultimate goal is within 10 years within 10 years um I I I want to retire I I want to retire and just you know just just chill have these side hustles uh that that I'm working on and you know these creative gigs I guess you could say um and these personal vent ventures um and career like I said career wise um I'm I'm a good I'm in a good place I know I've said on the podcast that I applied at uh San Juan Regional and then over back at the college but I love my job I love Fort Defiance and there's no place like that I don't think that that could match my pay uh San Juan College they couldn't even come close to it uh San Juan College they did not even come close to it uh San Juan Regional I I would have thought that okay cool they're a hospital you know they got Buku money they got they got they got Buku cash you know but man they couldn't even come close to it and respectfully had to decline it but I love you know the reason why I applied at those positions was just to see options just to see okay cool you know what what if I wanted a career change and worked over at San Juan College even though I was there for only a little bit um what if I can work at San Juan Regional you know it was just it was just to see but in the interviews and everything they loved me got offered the positions but it was just the pay I I've worked this hard in my career to get the pay that I'm paying getting paid right now and I am happy I'm happy with Fort Defiance uh they they treat me well and I love it and that that's just one of my goals is is to try to retire within the next 10 years um and not depend on DJing because like I said I feel good that I'm slowly stepping out of the DJ game like the mobile DJ game I feel good about it and I am like super super happy with it and just man just I am happy with it and then another one is they said Mike if you could swap lives with a fictional character for a day who would it be man you already know man Batman I would I would be Batman freaking no hats down I would be Batman in a freaking New York minute in a second and I would just enjoy that man playing with all the gadgets uh spending all that cash you know and just being that visually visual and what do you call it visual anti or I don't visual ante eh that that uh that that superhero that's just kind of rogue you know um I I would love to be Batman for a day that's a fictional character right there I know some of you guys are like oh man Batman's not shut up you know yeah shut up man you guys believe in all these dumb superheroes and uh he and I got the question one time of Mike why why do you like Batman? And the reason why that I absolutely fell in love with Batman as a kid as a teenager and even now is and I've said this before and and I'm not I'm not ashamed to say it is Batman is the only superhero that wasn't bitten by a radioactive insect uh a radioactive thing wasn't accidentally trapped in you know radioactive liquids or he wasn't born on a different planet uh he's not an alien he's he's a just a freaking human being he's a freaking human being that's stupid at times but he's a freaking genius everybody says oh he's just a millionaire that's all he's just a Playboy millionaire and stuff like that yeah for the public that's what he is but you know when he's not in the public when he's secretly in his zone that's when he's a freaking genius you know um and the thing that I like about Batman is if he dies he dies there's no coming back there is no coming back if he freaking dies that's it he is not coming back and I don't get how all these other superheroes they can rejuvenate you know when they get shot or when they get stabbed or even when they die they can they can rejuvenate and no disrespect to anybody out there that's like that that feels like I'm shitting on their superhero whatever but it's just facts and is that you know like they can rejuvenate they can rejuvenate and come back and you know just just be be that superhero but if Batman dies if he actually dies gets blown up you know drowns or whatever and somebody actually kills him he is dead he is not coming back he's never coming back that's the end of of Batman um every other every other person super superman for instance everybody's sad that superman died he did not die he they buried him and he he cannot die superman cannot die all these others all these other superheroes cannot die and but they they're so dramatized or they're so dramatic when they do right when they get shot or when they get something their limbs get pulled off they're like oh I'm gonna die and all this stuff even with like like I said you know like Superman Superman's a prime example uh you know like when when uh Batman versus Superman you know when they had Superman's funeral everybody was crying knowing that he's gonna be back knowing he's gonna be knowing that he's gonna be back they had a whole fucking funeral for him knowing he's gonna be back but my fictional character is Batman if he dies he dies that's the end of it and he is not coming back so that's the reason why I like I like um not Superman I like Spider not Spider Man Spider-Man fuck I like Batman I've always liked Batman ever since I was a kid ever since um you know just just seeing that the watching the old school Batman reruns um just how cheesy it was you know it was freaking it was freaking dope man and then one of them um that that I got in another question was Mike what is one lesson that has taken you the longest to learn holy shit that's my whole entire life that's my whole entire life man but one lesson that has taken you the longest to learn is now now that the that like I said I'm older is Mike just slow down um you don't need to rush into things you don't need to rush into anything um people are going to be okay people people are gonna rely on you Michael but it's not gonna be reciprocated um and that's okay like I said that's okay um and like I like like I've said you know I I'm I'm okay I like helping people out I will I like helping people out I like encouraging people and if I if I never get that back like in return and I'm not asking for I will never ask for that I would never ask for it in return or whatever you know I would never ask for like oh I helped you I would never bring that up oh I helped you so you have to help me nope no I that that is not my intention like I said all this stuff that I've learned with helping I I got from my dad um even when it comes down to gifts again gifts gifts gifts man uh all all that stuff I'm I'm not an ending giver even if we were in a relationship and we broke up and the stuff I will never ask for that back I will never bring it up I will never be like oh remember that time that I brought you uh I brought you I bought you that remember that time I did this for you like I will never say that you will never hear me say that at all because like I said you know that was just out of the kindness of my heart but the lesson that that's taking me the longest is don't rush into things Mike don't rush into things uh take your time it's okay it's okay to take your time and it's okay to be hurt by people it's okay if people don't hear you it's okay if people are are not seeing that you're hurting too it's okay you you don't you don't got to you know you don't got to uh display that out there you know as long as you're you know Mike that you're doing good is is all that matters and that's that's probably a lesson that's taking me the longest is that because sometimes I'm sometimes I I I can't tell people um I can't tell people when I'm going through something like I said I I just keep it to myself or whatever or I'm out here Red Valley and that's okay that's okay that's me just living in that moment and that's me just dealing with it right there and again I don't say stuff like this for for people to feel sorry for me or for people to say like oh man he's going through something or whatever. No no this is I've I've done this for years and years and years I've I've been able to cope like this for years and years and years and it I've just gotten used to it and that's okay I will continue to help people I will continue to encourage people and if I'm rocking with you I'm rocking with you and I will continue to take care of you or whatever you know uh but that's not the case you know that's not the case so that's a lesson that I'm still learning and it's taking me the longest to learn is just take your time Mike like like um like take your time and then another one was Mike what's an uncommon belief that you have that is worth fighting for an uncommon belief I don't I don't know I honestly don't know what that means but um my belief is I see good in everybody I I don't know if that's a if that's a if that's a good thing or a bad thing but I see good in everybody um and then you could like I said you could do me wrong uh let's just say that we're friends and then you freaking backstab me you will never hear me talk about anybody behind their back um you will not hear me you know say like oh this person's like this this person's like this I mean yeah I might say it once but that's it I'm not gonna say it again I'll say it jokingly but that's it I'll I will never I will never you know talk about somebody behind their back. I know I get talked behind my back which is fine you know which is fine like I tell like I've told people you know if you don't know the real me then come hang out with me for a date you know see see how I really am you know and the the real ones know how I really am. I I really am a private person. I really am I I really am a private person and I like it that way I I really like it that way like I said there's there's there's three personalities I guess you could say this it's uh some some people might say oh that's wrong you're you're just fake or whatever but I know how to separate them I know how to separate DJ who me I know how to separate Michaeless and I like being Michael uh I love the fact that I like being Michael um why because michael is a good guy Michael is a good guy yeah I love it all those other ones just entertainment you know DJ who mecha those guys are just entertainment you know that's how I get extra cash on the side uh but Michael man Michael is a good person Michael loves hard Michael puts everything out there and Michael well will be there you know if you let him and if you want him to be there that that that's it you know but I'm I'm there my that I I love Michael I love being Michael so my uncommon belief I guess that's worth fighting for um I'm always it's always worth fighting for Is um uh and I said it before, is like I said, I I fall in love easy. I love hard and you know, wanting that relationship. The reason why that I do that is because every you know, I always say everybody deserves love. I I all I want, all I all I want is is is something so simple is just is just to to be love too, you know. Um I I've said I love hard, you know, I've I fall in love easy or whatever, and and just just wanting that a little bit of that back. Like I said, I could be running on empty, and then you could tell me, Mike, you're doing a good job, or Mike, you're you know, you're you're doing fantastic. That fills my tank, and I'm like, cool, let's go another 50 miles, you know, I'm running on films again, you know. So that that that's one of my um, I guess you could say, um, that that's worth fighting for is just that. And then uh I thought friendships were worth fighting for at a time. Uh, but some friends are just full of shit. I'm gonna be honest. Some friends, that's why I I my circle is small now. Um some friends I found out, you know, were were saying shit about me, and I'm just like, dude, man, I would I would never have said that about you, you know? And you know, we're we're we're saying stuff that were not true. And I'm like I said, you know, I've always been transparent and said, just come hang out with me, man. Come hang out with me, and you'll see, you'll see, you know. Um, but I I think that that's worth fighting for. Um, some friendships are worth fighting for, others, I'm just like, yeah, it's it's cool, man. We had a good run, you know. And then it was another one that was like, they said, Mike, I hear you giving words of inspiration and encouragement and always speaking about stuff that you went through, your trials and your tribulations, but I want to know, and you might have already answered this when you said that you did your little TED talk. If you had the attention for the whole day for five minutes, what would you say? Um if I had the attention, oh if I had the attention of the whole world, if I had the attention of the whole world for five minutes, what would I say for just five minutes? I don't even need five minutes. Um I would just tell the whole entire world that I love them, that I think that they are doing great, uh, that I miss them, uh, that I wish that things weren't weren't so bad. Um but I know everything is gonna be okay. And that I yeah, that would that's all I would say is I I love you guys. I I love you guys. Everything's gonna be okay. Uh we'll make it. We've made it before. We're gonna make it again. Peace out, world. Hey, I think that's what I would that's um yeah, that that's what I would uh that that's what I would say. And then another one um was uh Mike, you you talk about you being in ministry ministry at one time as a youth pastor. I go to church as well, and I always get the guilt from my family, from my mom that I should be in ministry. How did you how did you know that you needed to be in ministry? Honestly, um, I should never have been in ministry. And I talked to Brooklyn about this a couple days ago, and I was just completely honest with her. I told her that I don't think I was supposed to have been in ministry. I don't think I would I should have I was supposed to have had have held that pastorial uh credentials. Uh the only reason why that I actually went into ministry was because everybody around me was telling me, Mike, Michael, you're good at speaking. Michael, you're good at bringing a crowd. Mike, you're good at speaking to the youth. Uh I don't think that was my calling. I honestly don't think that God was calling me into ministry. Oh, excuse me. I honest, I honestly don't think that God was putting me in that position of ministry. I just took what people were saying and I I just uh listened to what people were were telling me, like like, oh you're good at this, you're good at that, or whatever, you know. So um so that's just what it was. That that's just what it was. And I think I think that um yeah, I don't I don't think I was supposed to be in ministry, but before I got into ministry, before I actually started, uh my mentor, uh my friend, man, he was just freaking completely honest with me. Uh he was just like I remember when I had told him that, yeah, I was thinking about going into ministry, uh, that I was thinking about, you know, like like wanting to do that. Um I remember he told me he was like, man, Mike, he was like, you got you have to be ready, you have to get thick skin, you have to not take things to heart. And most importantly, you have to be able to be alone. He was like, you have to be able to be sad. And he told me he was like, he's like being a pastor, being a youth pastor, being in ministry is one of the loneliest jobs ever. And I never understood it until I actually got into ministry. Uh, the loneliness, um, people talking about you, people saying this and that about you, and even the church saying this and that about you. I was like, holy cow, you know, like when when I was actually getting ready to step out of ministry, um, that's when I realized I was like, damn, I was like, Yep, this is one of the loneliest jobs ever. And it is, it's a job. You get paid from a church, you get paid from an organization, so therefore, it is a job. So people get offended, people get mad and say, Why are you calling, you know, being a pastor a job? Why you why you calling being a ministry a job? Because that's what it is. You're getting paid for it, you're getting paid to do it, and I was getting paid to do it too as well. So therefore, it was my job. But I remember late nights of being lonely. I remember being on the road, driving home, and doing a youth rally or whatever, and driving home by myself, and I'm just like, damn, this shit is. I mean, I didn't say that at that time, but I'm just like, man, this shit is really lonely. Um, and then, you know, you got parents that are calling you saying, you know, my child's doing this. Uh, can you help my kid? My kid is, you know, at the hospital, whatever. And, you know, being that, being that uh having that responsibility, you you, you know, I felt that I had to go. You know, I had to be there, I had to be there for everybody. So yeah, I got burnt out. Uh, but man, I've always said the the best freedom that I've ever found. This is no disrespect to anybody in ministry or anybody in church, anybody is whatever, you know. I the the the when I finally finally felt like I was free was the day that I stepped down from being a youth pastor, was the day that I left the church. Um not not because I was like, oh, anti, anti, you know, I was an anti-Christian or whatever. I wasn't that. It was just um I I just I just needed to to to step away, and I I I that wasn't just my calling anymore, you know. So that's my I guess you could say, that's what I would say. Uh if people around you are are telling you and and you feel like that's what it is, just that's just what it is, is they're telling you to, but you don't feel it, you don't absolutely feel it within your heart, your soul, and everything like that, then when you know what you that that's that's not your calling. Hey man, your calling could be um hugging people, talking to people, you know, that could be your ministry, uh smiling at somebody. You know, people think that when you go into a church ministry or go to church or whatever, that you have to have some kind of like you know, talent or something. No, you don't have to, man. You don't have to. You could be the world's best hugger, and hey man, you know, creator's gonna use you for that. Uh, but uh I didn't want to go on a little rant there about church or you know, but that was just one of the questions. And like I said, I'm answering, I was just answering questions, you know. Um but but yeah, uh it was um it was uh it was good. It was it was good questions, like I said, and and uh I as I'm sitting here still, it's 11.06 and I'm still out here. Uh probably gonna get going here in a bit, but it was freaking it was freaking awesome, man. It was it was it's awesome just to be out here. Um uh just you know like I said, man, this is my safe spot. And I just wanted to be out here just just uh just to relax, you know, just to end the day good. Um and I am looking forward to, like I said, the month of July. The month of July is going to be busy. I am just looking forward to it. And I thank you guys again all the time. I want to thank you guys so much for just liking, sharing. Um, I I know I know the last couple podcasts haven't been funny, haven't been comedy, it's just been me talking, ranting, or whatever, but I thank you guys so much, man, for just rocking with it still. And like I said, everybody that's reached out that had told me, like, hey, you know, like you said this or whatever that that I really understood that, you know, thank you guys so much, man. I appreciate that. And um to my circle, man. I love you guys so much. You guys are awesome. Um, I don't ever, you know, I don't ever take any of you guys for granted. I love you guys, each and every one of you guys, and thank you guys so much again for just liking, sharing, uh, even the emails of just of the the podcast, you know, and just being able to share it and like it. I I haven't checked the stats yet. Uh, but thank you guys so much, man. You guys, you guys are awesome, and I love each and every one of you guys. And uh yeah, just wanted to come on here again, you know, just share a little bit about myself again, a little about of little questions. Uh, I I know a lot of the personal questions I I don't answer on the podcast because, like I said, there's some stuff that I like to keep private. Um, there's some things that I like to keep private, and that's just for me. Like, I I like to keep things private because it belongs to me, you know. Like I I get to have that. You know, I don't have to share it. I don't have to share it with anybody. Uh, and that that's how I like it, man. That's exactly how I like it. And it and it feels good, man. It feels good for that little moment to have that privacy. Uh, but as always, I like I said, you know, being on this platform and you know, being a DJ, MC, whatever you want to call it, all that other shit, all that extracurricular shit that don't mean anything. Uh that's just uh that that's a different side, but uh, you know, I I I get to um enjoy being Michael. I love that. I love that a lot. And and um yeah, just thank you guys so much. I am going to get going um and get home to Shiprock. Uh again, Red Valley. Thank you guys so much, Red Valley, for just being awesome. Uh, the cereal, definitely you guys gotta find a chill spot like that. You guys gotta find a safe spot. My safe spot is there. Uh, eating some cereal and then you know, smoking a cigar or whatever. Uh, but man, it's it's so peaceful. I love it, and I love each and every one of you guys. July is gonna be good. We're gonna flip all the bad days, we're gonna flip all the negativity. All right, man. We're gonna flip what's said about us and what's what's thought about us, and we are going to be good and make it good. Why? Because, man, you deserve that. I deserve that, and you deserve nothing but the best. And as always, man, you guys are in the favor of the creator. Ladies, smile because your smile is so contagious, man.
