I just wanted to try something new and so I'm totally new out of the ordinary of everything that I've been doing. Uh, but man, the love and the support that that I've been getting for it, I lost everything is freaking killing it. And I was told again, um, I I don't know, I don't have social media, but I but I but I was told that I lost everything always. Uh pre-blessed, and guess who's back is on social media. So if you guys are out there, you guys are TikTokers, you guys are Facebookers, Booker Faces, MySpacers, or whatever you guys want to call it, and you guys come across the sound bite from Mike Less. Um, like I said, I do not plan on doing anything else with it, just a small project, just something that's always been brewing in the back of my mind. So go check that out. But it's been a chill, chill, chill, um, it's been a chill April, actually. Uh, I do not have anything planned for the month of April. I am just taking advantage of of the I guess you could say um of the time off. Yeah, yeah. Of the time off uh from DJing um this this week and last week was was uh I didn't have anything planned. Uh just stayed home, you know. Like I like I've been saying, uh just work and home is basically all I've been doing now. And I'm glad to be home. Like I am I'm a homebody now. I am officially a homebody. I am officially uh just like to stay home, rarely go to Farmington, rarely go anywhere. I am just home. Um, not not because of anything bad or whatever, just by choice, you know. I I never really got the opportunity just to stay home. Uh, I was always on the go, uh always just out doing something, always with friends and everything. And like I said, just to have that opportunity, I guess you could say have that time to not do anything. I am taking full advantage of it. And man, I'm getting used to it. Um a lot of people have been asking, Mike, how's your how has been your journey? You know, my journey is good. There are some hiccups, there are some bumps, just like life, just like how you are on your journey. Life's knows, life knows to throw shit at you, life knows to throw little hiccups, little speed bumps, and just try to fuck with your mental. So uh as this journey continues, um, I I've been going through some stuff too as well. You know what I'm saying? Uh, challenges and just everyday life, but uh focusing, keeping my eyes on on why I am on this journey, I guess you could say, has been amazing. And it's been it's really cleared my mind, like really, really cleared my mind. Um, and I am just loving it again. I I cannot stress that enough. Uh, been work been running. Well, we kind of fell off there for a little bit just because uh we just got so busy. I got so busy, but we are back on the grind again, running, riding bikes, and just doing everything that we can. Holy cow, a couple of weeks, the marathon happens. I am not ready for it.

So, you guys, if you guys don't hear from me on Sunday, please send send a send a crew out there to look for me. I'm probably on the Red Valley um road somewhere, lining the weeds or whatever. I'm just joking, but I'm looking forward to it, man. It's gonna be it's gonna be awesome times. Uh Shells is not here, like I said, he is um he's got some some prom duties that's going on. Holy cow, it is prom season, and it is officially graduation season too as well. Uh I've said before, you know, I am only taking a I only took a limited of uh receptions this year. Last year I was just on the go, go, go every weekend. Holy shit, I was busy, I was booked, and I got screwed over. So this year I only took seven, and seven of them were were just very close friends, you know, uh were family, and people that I said that, yeah, I'll I'll go ahead and I'll go ahead and do the reception, I'll DJ and everything like that. And man, I was supposed to have done something today, uh, but they canceled last minute. And and this is the reason why I ask for a deposit now to save the date, is because people, well, screw you, like people that think that oh, okay, just because I know them or know him or whatever, they they they try to run that over on you. But even if you guys know me best, you guys know I even charge my own family. I even charge my own family a a fee. But only certain people, only certain people that that that um did I be rocking with for a while, you know, I'll I'll drop a price on them or whatever. Or if I miss an event or I owe you, like I it's it's um, it's yeah, yeah, I I got you, you know. But other than that, man, like I am done fucking chasing people for deposits. I am fucking done with chasing people like, oh, you know, like can you do this on this date? And then they they don't come through, you know, they don't come through with it, but then they expect you to be there, uh, you know, to show up or anything. So so I had a couple of people that that uh, you know, like I said, all all seven, all seven of of the events that I'm doing for this summer, they all came through with deposits just today, you know. I I thought, okay, I'm gonna be nice, I'm I'm going to take this person's word. And today uh they text me last minute and was like, oh yeah, you know, like we're gonna have to cancel and everything. And I'm just like, fuck, okay, cool. But it was okay because I didn't have anything to do anyways, and so I am so super glad again that I am getting out of that mobile DJ business and just focusing on contracts, just focusing on concerts and hosting shows and everything. And so, yeah, that's just what it was. But in all, but in all, I am happy that I'm going that route of being able to say that I guess you could say, in a sense, that I am retiring, hey, from the mobile DJ business and just focusing, like I said, on contracts and shows, and then when everything seems right, I am exiting. I am chunking up the deuces and be like, yo, man, cool. Thank you so much. Years and years and years of DJing. Holy shit, like 20, holy cow, I would say 25 years plus of DJing. 25 years plus of DJing. Um, when I first started DJing, I didn't even think it was gonna be this this crazy. Um, the especially with the mobile DJing business, you know. Uh it was it was an ex it was an experience that I do not regret. Uh met a lot of good people, a lot of good friends. And you know, if you guys are out there, you guys still looking for DJs, still, you guys can hit me up. I'll point you in the right direction of where to get a DJ and who can host your events. But man, after years and years, like, holy cow, it only feels so right to not even do that, you know, to do that anymore. Um, I was thinking about selling my equipment, like as far as the speakers and the subs and stuff, but uh in of the mountain gods casino, they still require you to bring your own equipment. Uh, so that's the reason why I still I'm still keeping that. But other than that, if if that um if that doesn't happen anymore or I'm no longer there, then yep, all my stuff's going to be sold. Except for my turntables, you know, those were uh those were blessings, man. Those were sponsorship gifts. Uh so those I am going to to keep. But man, it's been a it's been an awesome, awesome journey. Sometimes, sometimes the journey just comes to an end where where it's just like, man, I did good. That'll do, pig. That'll do, you know. So I looking forward to it, but uh the main reason I wanted to do a small little podcast was again just to update you guys and to thank you guys so much for all the love and all the support, man. Hey, I feel like it's COVID all over again. I'm just at home and I only go to farming team when I when I need to or when I need to buy stuff, you know. Uh, because like I said, you know, going out, doing all of that is just um, man, it's just routine now, nowadays. And if you do that, if if that's what you do, hey, nope, keep doing that, man. Keep keep doing what you're doing, you know. But for me personally, it just got old. It just got old, and there's nothing wrong with that. I I grew up, hey man, fuck, man. I grew up. I grew up. Oh man, again, I'm accepting my age. I'm in my dad era right now, and it is uh it's it's it's I'm loving it. I'm loving it. And uh, but yeah, like I said, you know, I only go to Farmington now if I if I need stuff. Um just I'm just at home like 99.9% of the time I am home and I love it so much. Uh rarely see some of the the the homies as much, you know, but they do text, they do call, check up on me, make sure I'm good. And um, yeah, so I appreciate that.
